Hi Bob,

If you are looking for a $10,000,000 property, you should be looking in the Harbor Beach area but if you are looking in the $700,000 price range you should be looking in Pompano Beach. We would love to help you find what you are looking for. Please let us know your criteria and we will send you the best available properties in the safest area.

Thanks,

Bob,

A great resource for crime information is spotcrime.com. Here's a link to their crime report for Fort Lauderdale: http://spotcrime.com/#fort%20lauderdale . According to their website, there is little to no crime along the Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal waterway.

Your next challenge is finding a neighborhood that fits your lifestyle and offers the type of home you are looking for. Here's a link to an Interactive Real Estate Map: http://luxurylivingfortlauderdale.com/interactive-map-proper… . The map offers a current list of homes for sale in the MLS (the same database Realtors use) and is updated in real-time.

If you have questions about specific communities or homes for sale, I would be happy to help you. My specialty is selling homes in East Fort Lauderdale.

Hi Bob,

Your question is very vague. Because of the higher real estate price values of properties along the Intracoastal (both homed and condos) anywhere from Palm Beach County down to Miami are, therefore, mainly attracting the more affluent members of society. Thus, those neighborhoods are generally much safer than the mainland.

Next to your username given hereon Trulia, it states that you are from Fort Lauderdale and the Intracoastal travels east along the ocean through Fort Lauderdale unless you mean a traveling distance to downtown Fort Lauderdale. However, to ensure you get that extra sense of security, I recommend you buy a condo in buildings that have garaged parking and 24 hours manned security. For homes, I suggest Coral Ridge Country Club and Olde Coral Ridge, the Landings, Sunrise Harbor, the 7 Isles, Sunrise Key but if you really want the added vigilant security, look in prestigious Bay Colony off Bayview Drive or the Sea Ranch Lakes off A-1-A where homes start in the millions and the guards are armed to the teeth - they don't even let mosquitos get by.

Hi Bob,

Most of the areas along the Intracoastal are very safe. When you say reasonable drive to Fort Lauderdale, do you mean to downtown? Are you looking for a condo, townhome, or single family home? There are a variety of properties in different price ranges.

I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you about what you are looking for and what is available. I can send you listings that match your criteria and then make arrangements for you to see those that interest you at your convenience.

Please feel free to call, text, or email me anytime, day or night.

I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day and I look forward to helping you find your new home!
