In my opinion, I believe the best area to purchase a condo is in Buckhead. There are still some really great deals in this area and I think it will have the greatest appreciation in the next five years. Please let me know if I can help with your search.

Hi Michael,

There are great places all around the metro area to purchase great condo's. It would help to know a little about your criteria and price point. Downtown Atlanta and the Buckhead area are fabulous places to live. However, they are some great condo's in the suburban areas.

Hi Michael,
That is not really a question that can be answered by anyone but you. Everyone has their own preferences. A condo that you might love, someone else might hate.

When thinking of purchasing a property, you will need to rank what is important to you. Do you want amenities on site, if so, what kind? Do you want to be within walking distance of shopping and/or dining? If so, that will further define your possible areas. What part of town do you work in and how close to work do you have to be? These are just a few of the many questions that you will need answers to. There are many condos spread throughout Metro Atlanta, so you will need to define as many “must haves” as possible.

To view or make an offer on a property that is listed for sale, you should be represented by a Buyer’s Agent. The Buyer’s Agent will work on your behalf throughout the transaction. This is very important since the Listing Agent represents the seller.

By working with a Buyer's Agent, you are only seeing the homes that are actually listed for sale at that time. Also, having one Buyer’s Agent dedicated to you will greatly maximize your home buying experience since they will be locating available homes that meet your criteria as best as possible..

If you need a recommendation on a Buyer’s Agent, please contact me at (404) 591-2453 or rodney.mason@prospectmtg.com. I would be happy to put you in touch with someone who can assist you.

That's a loaded, subjective question.

If you are looking at "resale" then you have quite a few decent choices between the Buckhead loop buildings, a few buildings in Midtown like Luxe, almost anything in Inman Park and of course, my home of downtown Decatur.

What's your budget?

I MICHEAL, I AGREE WITH AVA, YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN WITH A SEASONED AGENT. REMEMBER CONDOS /TOWNHOMES IN ATL ARE TRICKY. YOU HAVE SEVERAL FACTORS TO CONSIDER:
HOA FEES, LOCATION, RENTAL RATIO, UPKEEP, APPERANCE, & PEOPLE RESIDING IN THE COMMUNITY. MOST BANKS WILL NOT FINANCE CONDOS/TOWNHOMES IF THE RENTAL RATIO IS HIGH IN THE COMPLEX OR COMMUNITY VS. OWNERS. ALSO, MAKE SURE THE ASSOCIATION HAS ENOUGH $$$ ON HAND FOR REPAIRS, INSURANCE, AND LIABILITIES. BEST ADVICE FOR CONDOS ARE PAY CASH OR SHOP HOMEPATH INVENTORY. THE $$$ MGHT SEEM ATTRACTIVE, BUT MONTHLY FEES WILL SCARE YOU AWAY. REMEMBER LOCATION LOCATION IN ATLANTA FOR CONDOS ( SHOPPING, TRANSIT, INSTERSTATE, ENTERTAINMENT)....

The only way to answer that is consulting with someone about your wants and needs. The best area for one person is not the best area for someone else.

Hi Michael. That would depend on a few factors. Price point, lifestyle (walkability, convenience to shops, etc), style of condo (townhome, highrise, etc) are things to consider. Are schools important to you? This kind of information will help to narrow down what would be the best options for you.

Im looking at resale, schools aren't important.....
