Hi Shawn,

Overall, Fremont is a good city to live in. It depends on what you are really looking for . Do you have children and if so, schools must be important to you?

In that case the best schools are in the Mission San Jose school District. However, there are very few homes on the market in that area and they are sold in a few days of being on th market. Pople buy a home there when their children start elementary schools and sell when theri kids are done with high school. I recently had two listings in that area which were listed because their kids were out of high school.

Even if the schools are not important to you, Mission San Jose area makes it a great investment property since the homes/condos/townhouses are easy to rent and the tenants stay for quite a few years to get their children through through some major school years

Another good neighborhood is Ardenwood that has very good schools and is a good community close to 880 freeway and Dumbarton bridge.

If I can be of further help, please e-mail me and I would be happy to answer any other questions you have.

Shawn - I'd have to agree with Meena's comments - I personally lived in the Mission area and can confirm all it's wonderful benefits and unique qualities. But every area of Fremont can boost of it's special values and benefits.

The key is WHAT DO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WANT? I'd encourage you to identify what you want and meet face to face with a Realtor who is familiar with Fremont. Please don't hesitate toc call if I can answer any questions.

Lot's of choices. Best areas will depend on your budget. That being said the Mission District is probably the most in demand.

Shawn: There is so much to choose from and Fremont is a wonderful community with a lot to offer. What exactly are you looking for? Here are some factors that you should keep in mind:
Commute - do drive to the South Bay or SF, or Across the Bay
Age of Home
Townhouse or Detached
Near Commuter train, or Bart
Near Hiking Trails and Parks
Without knowing exactly what you are hoping to find it's pretty hard to isolate an area, but I do want to encourage to learn more about Fremont and all that it includes.
Good luck
