Asked by Diane Dove, Dunedin, FL Sun Jan 6, 2013

am a public teacher in a public school setting. Already preapproved for a FHA loan. Just looking for the right house in Dunedin area. Waiting on Fannie Mae for one bid but feel I should keep looking. Found a house with the above quote starting the house info, but in Palm Harbor. Great looking place but not sure if I qualify. I have an agent working for me currently. Just want as much info as I can get!! TY

These properties can only be sold to veterans. It is a special program and there are restrictions on purchasing and selling.

I feel an informed client makes the best decisions regarding their real estate needs. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

Hi Diane,

Its probably a VA foreclosure and they give first priority to veterans who write an offer. However, this does not exlude you from writing an offer. I would contact your agent and go see it!!!

Good Luck

As a school teacher, unlike many, you can actually do math and know what a good deal is when you see it correct?

Tell me if you understand this savings NICHE:

As far as your question, likely the seller and/or realtor are marketing towards military, as generally they have the ability to buy with the least amount down.

Can you send me information on a VA loan? I am already pre-qualified for HFA with Bank of America. I have not shopped around at all for a mortgage. Should I?
