Hi Arlene,

Hope all is well in Glen Allen. The current mill rate for the 2010-2011 tax year in Hamden is 31.16 mills.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions about the town. I'm a native of Hamden and it's a great place to live. You can find out more about the town by visiting the chamber of commerce website at http://www.hamdenchamber.com/Visitors/tourismguide/

The property tax mil rate in Hamden, CT is currently 29.41. For example, a home with an assessed value of $300,000, the taxes would be $8,823 annually. ($300,000 x .02941)

Hamden is currently a hot market. I sell homes in that area, and each home I helped someone buy or sell in 2009 ended up with multiple bids within the first week. Home prices have also been more stable in Hamden than most other towns in CT.

I noticed you are from VA. Are you looking to relocate to the area? I'd be happy to help you out with any other questions you have about the local area. You can email me at Scott@CTProperty.com or call 203-815-9118.
