I have been wanting to move to Las Vegas for a really looooong time! I keep watching the market and when it dropped to bottom, so did the employment market and I had to hold on to my job. Now that I have learned a skill that is more marketable, and interest rates are more favorable, along with better odds of selling my current home in dreary Ohio (lol)! I am hoping this is the year I can go. While I will probably rent for 6 months or so to get a feel for which area I prefer (right now, Henderson/Green Valley), but I also have a friend that lives in the Northwest area of Aliante, etc. , my question is:
What is the ratio of rental homes to owner occupied? I would prefer to live in an area that is owner occupied. Is there a map somewhere with zip codes that have less crime rates and are safer, etc.? Also, where can I find information about HOA fees, SIDs, LIDS, etc.?
