Hello, Kris! Nice to see folks relocating to the area :). I actually have clients right now that are in the process of selling their home in Toronto and purchasing here.

I don't see a question from you ... just that you are relocating. Always happy to assist if you need it...

Kris, Glad to here someone is moving to Michigan LOL

There are several Internet agents available on Trulia, you can search here under members and look at their profiles or the correct website for agents in Michigan is http://mi.living.net/ this site will have all real estate professionals and has been active for more than 2 years. Most agents do not have their correct information in their profile.

There are two large Multiple Listing Services available in the area Realcomp and MiRealSource. Currently, they do not share data so you may not find all the homes available on any real estate agent website. I believe Marybeth and I both belong to Realcomp which is the larger coverage area. Some homes in Macomb, Wayne, Oakland, and St Clair Counties may not be on our websites.

If you are looking for sample real estate forms, several are available on the website below. I also have IDX search but not mapping. Realcomp cautions against providing mapping.

There are many Federal and State laws that prevent agents from suggesting where you should locate. Having four myself, schools may influence your choice. There are two websites I recommend. http://schoolmatters.com and http://michigan.gov/mde

Traffic can be a problem, especially during rush hour, this website may help http://www.traffic.com/Detroit-Traffic/Detroit-Traffic-Repor…

If you need any additional information I'd be glad to help no obligation.

Me again!,

Funny, I followed the link to find a Realtor through our Michigan Association-not user friendly.
I think you would be better off searching from Realtor.com
You can add designations such as Accredited Buyers Agent (ABR), etc.
Also put in city information.
Contact me if you need assistance with a referral for the area.

Hi Kris,
I am assuming that schools districts will be important to you.
Visit School Matters to compare districts. (see link)
Here's a great Mapping Search for Realcomp MLS-Southeastern MIchigan.
Approximately 70,000 properties: http://www.mlsfinder.com/mi_realcomp/kw_295
The search runs from Keller Williams IDX link but includes all IDX properties.
Find a buyer's agent. http://www.mirealtor.com you can search by designation, area, etc.
That's all the Realtor's in Michigan.
Happy Hunting!
