We are looking for land to build cabins and a home in the Asheville area. Obviously we want to remain close to

Asheville; but like all areas around the Blue Ridge. We'd also consider a property large enough to sub-divide into lots for spec homes.

Hi John. I'm sure you know that there are restrictions in some developments against building cabins. I have attached a link of cabin-specific land for you which I hope you find helpful. The featured home at the top is in the 'Havens' in Black Mountain, 15 minutes' drive from Asheville and there are a number of lots available as well as homesites. Warmly, Rowena Patton

John, I live and work in McDowell County, which is just east of --less than 35 minutes to-Asheville. This area is quickly becoming very popular as both a bedroom community of Asheville and as a retirement /vacation/getaway spot all its own. And I know of some property with some beautiful views of the Blue Ridge mountains that would be perfect for just what you're talking about. do contact me if you're still in the market. Regards,
Charlene Blevins

I live in the Maggie Valley area which is about 30 minutes West of Asheville. We have a large second home market here, so to build cabins for resale or rentals would do well. We have several large tracts available to sub-divide or we have a few that the lots are already platted and the infrastructure is in. If you would like any information or stats on the area, let me know and I would be happy to send them your way.

John there is plenty of land outside of Asheville I use to live there and it is beautiful country. Just a slight suggestion to help the agents in that area though maybe tell them how much land, how much you want to spend, how far from Asheville you would consider? Also you might want to consider whether you want to build on a steep grade or a level lot. Since Asheville is in the mountains the topography can be up and down. There are several areas around Asheville you might look; Skyland, Arden, Black Mountian and if you want a little bit of a drive Hendersonville you could get some good values there.

Hope this helps,

John, land is available for you in the Asheville and surrounding areas that may be sub-divideable. Most of these properties could probably be found within 20-30 minutes of downtown Asheville. Your selection will goverened by your intended use. Most of these land choices will come with private well and septic expenses. Additional information from you that might be helpful is: # of acres needed, # of cabins you plan to build and whether this is a commercial endevor. Please e-mail or call me if you need any additional information. Hope this helps.
