We are looking for a 3 bedroom townhouse around Edison. It can be 15/20 min drive from Edison.

Asked by Inna, New Jersey Thu Jan 29, 2009

We want get something in a desirable community with high resale value. Can you please tell us what areas we should look at and what would be an average price & taxes for a 3 bedroom townhouse? We are going to sell our house in North Jersey and move to central Jersey to be closer to my daughter. Ideally we are looking to buy 2 townhouses, but that depends on the price.

Again, it dependds on your price range. If resale value is a major concern, Edison is still a safe bet, especially North Edison (zip code 08820) . Check out Trulia Stats (above) and look at the median sales price stats for 1 and 5 years in Edison and for the specific zip code 08820 to see what I mean.

If it absolutely doesn't have to be a townhome, here is a link to three homes in Woodbrook Corners, a highly desirable single family home development. For resale value, it is walkable to the elementary and middle schools, and has bussing to prestigious JP Stevens HS.

There are several other townhome developments in nearby towns. In Fords, here is a nice development, tucked into it's own cul-de-sac and although they are two bedrooms they have basements and are very affordable.

I would be happy to help you further, just contact me with more specifics and I am SURE we can find you what you need.

The answer also depends on your price range. The prices for currently listed 3 bedrooms townhomes in just Edison and Metuchen range from $228,000 in Edison (built in 1991) to $575,000 (in Metuchen) and not yet built.

Here's a link to those mentioned: http://msx.mlxchange.com/Pub/EmailView.asp?r=213528080&s…

I specialize in Edison and Metuchen but can help you throughout Middlesex County.

I have under contract a 3 bedrooms /2.5 baths Townhouse in Edison. The Asking price was $299,000.
Below is the link for the property website we created for this Townhouse. You will find there, Virtual tour, Video and more info so you can see what your get for this amount of money.

Edison, Piscataway, Metuchen are very desirable because of the location (45 minutes train from NY Pen Station), close to major highway, school systems, etc...

East Brunswick has Blue Ribbon Schools and very good resale value. There are less than 20 three bedroom townhomes on the market right now in East Brunswick. Prices range from 400k to 260k with taxes of approx 5500 to 8000 depending on which complex you choose. It's a quick 10 minute ride to south Edison, 20 to get to MetroPark. If you'd like to see what's available in the area, give me a call or e-mail.
