You need to find out if you are out of compliance with the contract. Perhaps the seller requested contingencies to be removed, and your agent did not relay this information to you. If your agent was issued a Notice to Perform and you did not perform, then you may have a problem.

Read your purchase contract. Find out when the contingency removal dates were and call your agent and/or the agent's broker.

I do quite a bit of work in the Mission Viejo area, I graduated from Trabuco Hills High School! You have found a fantastic community to live in. Good luck.

It has been almost a month since you posted this question - did your escrow close?

Makes me wonder if this is a Short Sale. They will take offers right up to close, hoping to get a better deal. They don't care about who you are or what you have done already, it comes down to what they get from it.
Your agent or the broker for your side should be jumping in on this to find out what is going on.
Best of luck with everything!

Both Ellen and Steve are correct. Call your Realtor ASAP and if your agent doesn't respond, contact your agent's Broker.

WOW, why even bother if house is sold with week remaining . YOU can sue for breach of contract if you are not in default of executed contract between buyer/seller. Seller should be reminded of terms in contract they are held per agreement signed. Speak with your realtor.

My only thought is IF LISTING AGENT is only trying to increase sales by continue marketing of the home for their obtain potential buyers for other properties.

Dawn, Ellen dead on with her suggestion: This topic is really something you should be talking about with your Agent. Nobody in this forum knows the house, what the Seller's motivation may be, or any other pertinent details.

Call your real estate agent and speak to him or her about this. If you are in escrow and all contingencies have been removed, this would seem unlikely.
