Tired of getting duped in Chester/Mont co.

Asked by Msonia26, Plymouth Meeting, PA Tue Oct 12, 2010

My husband and I are so tired of being duped into visiting new developments that boasts of housing staring from $350k, however when you get therehouses are closer to the 600k. 350 was only the shell. Is there any new (or newer) construction in the West Chester/Downingtown area school district under $450k? How about KOP?

The problem with new construction is just what you are experiencing...The advertised price is often for the base model with minimal upgrades. Now some builders obviously are better than others and most strive to stay competitive with existing homes within any given neighborhood.,
In this market 450K should get you a lot of house. good luck.

If you don't have an agent of your own, consider working with one--once given your criteria, he/she can save you lots of time--can update you with any new listings, price changes, answer questions, schedule showings, etc. Interview a few agents from different realty offices, then choose the one you like best--choose your agent with care.
