My wife and I put in an offer on our dream house on Febuary 2008, the seller accepted the offer and we had a closing date set for Apil 1, 2008. The house is a short sale and there are two mortgages on the house, the first bank approved our offer and the second bank will not respond. Apparently the seller hurt someone's ego at the second bank and they decided to foreclose on the house, it is set for sheriff's sale for September 2008. Is there anything we can do about it? As far as at least getting the second bank to respond? Should we contact a Real Estate Attorney, the township, the seller, etc...? Thanks for any and all help, it is greatly appreciated.
