Our realtor led us to believe that we could not back out of the offer after the home inspection, and we have a new signed offer, can we still get out?

Our realtor told us that we could not back out after the home did not pass the home inspection. We were told that our only option was to let the seller attempt to fix all of the issues. We did have it in the offer that it was based upon a home inspection. We want to get out of the deal but we have a new accepted offer from the seller. Because we were misled into signing a new deal, can we still get out of the deal?

possibly you had checked on your addendum that the seler had the right to cure the defects of the home inspection. You can have the home reinspected afterwards and have your realtor do the neccesary changes in an amendment to get you out of the contract.
