Once a usda file is ready for the underwriter to review how long does it take once they get it?

We are going through a usda loan to purchase a house, and how long does it take for a underwriter to review the file, before accepting and granting the loan to putchase the house? We were pre-approved for a loan, so about how long will it be when we sign the papers to say the house is ours?

After you make mortgage application, supply the loan orginator with all your personal documents, an apprasial is ordered and when they have all the documents in the file it is moved over to the underwriting deparment. the underwriter typically takes 48-72 hours to review the file. The file can be approved 100% or approved subject to additional documents. After additional documents are received you can ususally proceed to closing within 48-72 hours.
