Ketan - Oil well Road is a 7 mile road in a rural part of Punta Gorda. If you are looking for peace and quite in a country like setting than this might be an area for you. The area is pinched half way between Punta Gorda and Fort Myers. Anyone can purchase land in this area and most of the parcels in the area are either 2.5 acres, 5 acres or 10 acres. All of the parcels that are adjacent or abutt Oil Well road have access via oil well road. However if you purchase property either north or south of oil well road, alot of these parcels do not have direct access via a road and can be tough to get to. You will also have to seek perpectual easement rights to get to your property, in other words you'll have to cross over someone else's property to get to yours.
Seeing that very few of parcels are surveyed its hard to really know where a parcel begins and where it ends, so you need to get a survey. I've done a little bit of business out there and have walked a few parcels. The one thing that you will want to make sure is that the lot (or most of it) is high and dry. A lot the property out there is very wet (wetlands) and therefor unbuildable. It may appear high and dry in the winter months when we get little rains but come summer it turns into a swamp. Again not all the properties but some of it.
