My fiance has been approved for an FHA loan. We are leaving me off the mortgage. Can I be added to th deed at a later date.?

I was told with FHA loans if you are not on the mortgage you can not be added to the deed and vice versa.

I would go to a Title Company and have them help you, it is a real simple process by a Notarized Document that needs to be recorded by you or the Title Company at the County recorders Office.

Particularly being in California, I am sure that he can add you to the Deed by simply going down to the Recorder's Office and filling out a form.

Yes, you should be able to be added at a later date I know because my husband purchased our first home and I was added on the deed only.

One can always be added to a deed at anytime.
