More about the Sillicon Valley new home

Thanks all to your great advices. It s a great service for us in China to have people on the ground able to know the market and help us. About the price range, I am not that sure what s the market. I would say that under 2000 US$ should be reasonable? Franckly I don t have a clue if it s or not. We are pretty open on that. About the seize of the house / apartment, 3 bedrooms sounds like a minmum . And the location, that would be great to be in a place where we can feel the fresh air (mountain or ocean). Saying that, we don t want to be too isolated neither and want to enjoy the cultural and nightlife there. To be very precised (sounds like a dream description), we both with my wife practice yoga and are pretty into martial art. A friendly community that are both multi-cultural and into lifestyle and culture would be great. We are not into transportation. So ideally, I would say 20 minutes of transportation to go to the office should be the maximum. Am I totally out of the loop?

Hi, sounds like you've given your dream home lots of thought. It sounds like you're looking to rent an apt/home for $2000 a month, is that correct? While there are many places you could experience all you've mentioned, you didn't say whether you have children and need a particular level of education. The best school districts here make both rental and purchase prices higher. Most properties here in the Valley are older (30, 40, 50 years old); if you are looking for new or newer, the price is higher. However, many new developments are built near Light Rail and Train stations to make commuting to jobs easier and less stressful. We welcome you to our community.

Here is a link to the postal service zip code web page. Find out where you are working and then look at housing in the zip codes around it. Trulia has a wealth of information for you and I've provided another link below that you can use.
