Looking to buy in Pine Beach / Ocean Gate

Asked by NJ Buyer, New Jersey Mon Aug 29, 2011

Should I wait a couple of months now that the storm has badly damaged Pine Beach / Ocean Gate? My guess is most home owners will be submitting flood claims and I do not want to buy a house which was flooded and was not repaired.

I think you should try to come down and see for yourself. My office is less than 10 minutes from Pine Beach, we stayed away for Irene and were scared of what we would find. Came home last night and saw that the damage wasn't nearly what we had feared. We were lucky, only small branches were down and all the streets were dry.

Get the best deal possible whenever that happens. Not every home has to have been damaged
