Looking to buy in Alpharetta

Asked by Abhishek Shah, Dunwoody, GA Mon Jan 7, 2013

Hi Guys,

After living in Dunwoody for more than 4 years, we are planning to buy a house in GA and settle down. Though I love Dunwoody, my wife thinks it would be better to move to ALpharetta for family raising(I dont know how correct she is)

So considering moving to ALpharetta we are looking to buy between 400-450k and dont want to stay too clsoe to 400 where we can hear noise nor too far where it will take too long to reach home once taking exit. As we are totally unaware of area, I could not convince any location, we drove couple of days on different exit, 8,9,10.

We are very interested in new single family but also okay to buy anything newer 2005 any suggestions from you experts. We will shortly decide our RA as soon as we decide location to settle.

We checked INISFREE at johnscreek(Dont know how traffic will be from exit 8)

If you guys can suggest less traffic areas.

I'm a certified appraiser and associate broker entrenched in NFulton since '94....and a NY'er on top of that. This is what I do every day, all day since getting here in '94.

you'll find these data charts for Alpharetta useful - http://hankmillerteam.com/atlanta-real-estate-conditions/alp…

You'll also see links for Roswell, Duluth, Johns Creek, Milton and 20 other areas. Everything we do is data driven and looked at from an appraisal standpoint.

As far as interviewing an agent - 7 questions and 10 minutes - all can be done by phone and email - http://hankmillerteam.com/about-hank-miller/how-do-you-find-…

If we can help, just let me know -

Hank

I know the Alpharetta/Johns Creek area well. Your wife is probably interested in the area because of the top schools, newer, more affordable homes, and activities for kids. No need to sugar coat - there is plenty of traffic in the area. If you plan to use 400 to commute to work (rather than 141), than living within 3-4 miles of 400 will help a lot.

There are more newer homes as you go further north into S. Forsyth. The Johns Creek area has some homes built in the past 10 years, but an even larger selection of homes built in the 1990's.

I live in the area and know it well. I can help you find the right home - at the right price - in just the right location!

Abhishek...Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Johnscreek,Norcross, Peachtree Corners, and Roswell all great areas to raise a family in my opinion depending on your family lifestyle and housing needs. Alot will be determined on what your dollar will buy in your desired price range and the proximiity to the activities you guys enjoy, respective educational requirements for your children, along with drive time to your place of employment. I'd be happy to help as you go through the process of finding your new home.

Good afternoon Abhishek,

North Fulton is well known for its excellent school district. They make improvements fairly often including the latest addition Cambridge High school. Most people that you will talk to will recommend you Alpharetta/Milton or Johns Creek as a great town/community for raising kids. They are ideal from an educational, family environment and safety perspective.

Even though Alpharetta it is not a huge town it has about everything you need...from shopping to businesses to entertainment to beautiful communities (as you probably know by now after looking around). I would be more than happy to recommend a few neighborhoods that may fit your criteria.

In the meanwhile please feel free to check out what is currently available in Alpharetta on my RE/MAX web page at http://www.iuliaharper.com. My name is Iulia Harper and if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate and call or email me at your convenience.

Regards,

Iulia Harper
