Glenna Gilli…, Home Buyer in Dallas, TX

Looking to buy a home in Ft. Worth,TX

Asked by Glenna Gillilan, Dallas, TX Fri May 3, 2013

If I pay cash, will my credit score matter? It's very low... 471. I'm looking for a home in the $50,000-$65,000 range. First-time buyer.

There are homes in Ft Worth that can be had for $50-$65k. As the others have mentioned, your credit is irrelevant unless you need financing. Make sure your funds are all in one place or can be documented to provide "proof" so that sellers take your offer seriously, and you will be fine. Good Luck!

1. If you pay cash upon execution of the contract you would be required show you have cash in the bank be considered as a real offer.
2. You need to add your budget inspection, appraisal , closing costs.
3. You would be able to close in 10 working days from execution of the contract IF the property is vacant.

Credit is checked when you apply for a mortgage. If you pay all cash, you will not have any need for a mortgage so no need for a credit check. Hope this helps! Good luck with your home purchase!

No, cash is king and no one cares what your credit scores are when you have cash in hand. Your closing costs will be very small and you can close very quickly as well.

If you pay cash, your credit score will not matter; but be prepared to show proof of funds when making an offer. Best of luck to you!
