Rte 3A/Cambridge St is the main divider between the two areas. The west side of Winchester has more of a suburban feel to it. The lots tend to be larger and the houses can be as well. The east side of Winchester is closer to Rte 93, which is the major north/south highway route to Boston. The east side is closer to Winchester Center. Houses tend to be older. Each area has beautiful older and newer properties. Hope this helps!

The difference is that the west side of Winchester has newer homes and a brand new elementary school. Also, lot sizes tend to be larger on the west side of Winchester and more private.

The east side of Winchester has a better walkability score to schools, town and train.

Both great options in a great town!

One is closer to Lexington and one is closer to route 93 noise and Medford.
I would contact a local real estate professional to help with this answer and to save time and money.
(I'm on the Cape, but I can help you choose a local pro if you want help doing so.)
