Well all I can say that BAD winter weather in Chicago and Illinois will slow things down, and during the holidays people in general are busy, have visitors, parties etc. and Realtors also the same way are
busy with their families.... so things slow down a little....

But what is the difference to a buyer looking for a property, or for a seller having the home on the market during the winter months is a different story of course. If you are selling you have less competition by other homes, and for buyers less confusion, less to look at, and potentially a little
better situation to negotiate, as the sellers may want to be out of their home and are keeping it on the market because of that reason during the winter month....

But in general a well priced property in good move in condition will sell no matter what time of the year, and a ready and willing and approved buyer will find a the right property for them in time no matter what time of the year......

Sometimes in December and November, things slow down, but this year there are still contracts going in every day on homes. Serious buyers who want to take advantage of pricing and interest rates don't look at the calendar.
