Is it true that buying a Fannie Mae house takes a lot of time to close and move into?

It depends.

There is a definite process to which they adhere to with forms and contracts. If done acurately, we haven't seen a delay. This is as long as the buyer doesn't have issues with their loan.

Move in time is the same - after close of escrow.

Best of luck!

We have sold Fannie Mae houses and have never had a problem with closing times or moving in times. If your agent is careful and fills out the forms properly there should be no problems, in my experience.

You must do everything correc or you will add weeks to the pocess. I recommend you pick agents like myself who as done many Government loans and keep up with the changes. One more note The relationship between the realtor adn the Mortgage officer will make this easy or hard.
