That depends on the quality that you are looking for.

If you mean the Greater Bay Area, yes. If you mean Santa Clara County, there are only 2 (both in San Jose); 1 is a short sale and 1 a regular sale.

3181 SHOFNER PLACE $299,000 3 1 (1/0) 941 435 Sqft San Jose 3
1515 LOCHNER DRIVE $249,999 3 2 (1/1) 1,000 4,100 Sqft.

You can easily search all of Santa Clara and all Bay Area counties for homes for sale and homes for rent with my free APP at http://app.kw.com/KW2CD60JE.

Hi Dee,

In Santa Clara County, currently there are 2 short sale under 300K and 1 regular sale. Its very difficult to find a 3 Bed under 300K in Santa Clara county.
There are more houses under 300K in Alameda county and Contra Costa County.

Good Luck!

Very likely depending on the property condition and location.

Yes, most probably you can. The location may be a compromise but it will be up to you to judge.

Absolutely! I found over 70 properties in San Jose at or below $300k. There are probably a dozen more priced above $300k that could be negotiated down. It might take a lot of looking and a willingness to do some work on the property, but they're there.

As far as I know, it's not going to be possible unless you're willing to consider East Palo Alto, East San Jose, or East Oakland. Sometimes, one will come up in one of those areas. Elsewhere, even homes in rough condition will go for around $400K to start.

Hello Dee,
The simple answer is yes. Give us some more information about your situation and we can be more specific in our suggestions. For example, are you a 1st time homebuyer? If so there are several special low down payment mortgage programs you might qualify for.
