It depends where in the NW Cape. The city is planning SW 6-7 now but hasn’t sent notifications yet. N-2 would be next. Further north in 33993 doesn’t have any plan yet. The city is pushing for utilities in all areas eventually.

There is significant momentum in the Cape Coral City Council to move forward with the municipal utility project. Several of the newly elected Council Members made re-starting this project as a key part of their campaign platforms. The recent vote to re-start the program is great news for the future development of Cape Coral.

Timing of utilities being built in 33993 is difficult to predict. While this area is the least dense part of the city, Cape Coral may be required to move quicker in this area as a result of removing and not rebuilding the Ceitus boat lift. Installing utilities in the area may ultimately be a component of settling this issue.

Good luck with your search!

City council voted February 15th to begin the utility expansion project again and we should know within the next 4 months or so how much it will cost.

I moved from Metro Detroit almost 5 years ago and have family in Shelby Twp & Mt Clemens still. If you have any questions about the differences between here and there feel free to call or email.

Hi Kim,

It depends on what area of 39993 you are looking at. Some areas will be getting it sooner than others. The best thing to do is look at the map that David Lang posted and you can determine what areas will be first based off of that. You can also look for homes in the South part of Cape Coral that already have City sewer and water, some paid off and some not so you will have to determine that on a case by case basis. Let me know if you need any help.

The water project has been delayed because of the economy amongst other things. At this point there's no telling when it will be started again.
