The Mayor has nailed it again! If you have a buyer's agent offering to bring you a client for that % and both parties are happy with it, go for it. Consider how long you've had the property on the market, how many offers you've had, how many interested buyers you've seen and how much longer you want to deal with selling your house and if all those things make 2.5% look good, then it's a good deal. If not, say thanks, but no. Best of luck selling your home...Jim

If it's a number that you're comfortable paying, and the buyer's agent is willing to accept that... then "yes".
