You will have a number of choices in Springfield in this price range depending on what you really want to buy. Townhouses and even a few single family homes. Having grown up in Springfield and lived in every zip code in Springfield as a homeowner it would be pretty easy to help you narrow down your choices. How many bedrooms, how many bathrooms, yard/no yard, garage/no garage? Are you looking for a home to live in or a home for an investment? Fill us in more and we can give you a much better selection of homes that will fit versus everything available in the zip code!

I expanded the search a little more to include all four zip codes of Springfield. See the link below. They are in order by subdivision/condo name and include condos, townhouses and single family homes.

For $300,000 you can get a nice townhome or an older detatched single family home. If you want a single family home, you may have to go for a foreclosure and some repairs will probably be needed.

I did a quick search on the zipcode: http://matrix.mris.com/Matrix/Public/Email.aspx?ID=25990465172

Springfield is a nice location but every area is different and what is prime for you may not be prime for someone else. I personally like Cardinal Forest but that will be in the upper $400,000's.
