Im a subtenant and the mastertenant has just moved out must I move as well? Do I have 30 days (I hope) in SF?

Unless you are on the Lease as a sub-tenant you are not on property legally, you are a squatter. If you are on Lease, then you are bound by Lease terms. I There is a lot of good information on line, do some homework.

Good question, it depends on how the lease was written. I would suggest you seek legal advice and find a real estate attorney that specializes in leases. There also may be a community housing advocate group that offers free legal advice to tenants in this situation. Good luck
