Section 8 tenants. Would finding a section 8 tenant be difficult (it seems as though there are an abudance of rental properties there)?

There is a specific approval process required for section 8 housing. Inspections on the property are done every 6 months so you need to inquire about the process before you do it. Then there is a registry of section 8 housing and people then come to you. I have found such housing for clients in the past. I would be more than happy to help you with your search.

Brandy, There are also some property managers that can assist you in finding tenants for a fee. I did see some answering questions in Detroit on Trulia but cannot vouch for them.

There is a no sign in search for Detroit on the website below. Please take some time to educate youself by reviewing previous questions about Detroit on Trulia. I suggest finding a Buyers Agent to work for your best interests before looking for homes. In Michigan, agents are required to work for the benefit of the home seller without a signed written agreement.
