I want to purchase a property but there is fraud involvement by the builder and now is listed with a real estate agent. What do I need to know?

before proceeding with the idea of this purchase? She told me to check with the court house in that county to check for liens, taxes etc?!

The listing agent absolutely represents the seller/builder and is representing his best interests, not your's. This is why you need a "buyer's agent" to represent your best interests!

You need to check with the county planning office to see that it has all the required permits. The last think you want to do is by a house you cannot get a CO for. Get a good home inspector. I know one that uses a inferred camera to scan the walls and ceilings.
