I note that the listed property tax for the same property listed on Zillow website is about double as much as the one on Trulia.

The information on many real estate web sites are often not correct. The real estate business while reported on nationally is truly a local business. Work with a realtor who works with buyers and knows the area you want to purchase. Thanks for asking such a good question!

The best way to find the most accurate tax information is to Google "Property Tax Assessment" plus whatever state you want to search and you can then search for the property by address.

The information you get from both Zillow and Trulia are not provided in real time. At some point the information may have been correct, but the are stale as time pass by.

You can get accurate property tax information from the State website if they are on line. In the State of Maryland as well as the District of Columbia tax records are readily available either through the specific County or the State.

Regardless of jurisdiction, a Real Estate agent should be able to provide you this information
