Contact a Realtor and let them pull up the criterion that will suit you preview the homes and make a choice. Those with a single mortgage and no PMI are the easiest

The best bet andrew is to use a mortgage calculator. Go ahead and get pre approved as well to give you an advantage

Andrew Here, I had to move here from Alabama where property tax was one-tenth of what it is here. I'm only staying four years (retiring then) Then it's back south. I still am looking for a list of banks short sale homes. Regards

Andrew, have you thought of moving to an area where homes are affordable? Is there a really' 'life giving' reason why you don't consider moving? There are many areas, good liveable areas, around the country where you can find 'affordable housing and great living communiteis with jobs'. Consider these to match your afffordability. A change in the economic pattern area is sometimes the answer to our economic problems. Something to think about.
