When choosing a home inspectors, just like choosing a home... it is best to take a look at a few before making your decision. Here are some that my clients have used. Be sure to tell them you are buying a condo and ask for the condo rate... which is usually less than regular home inspections.

Hazelgray,

I have had great success with John Losquadro (732) 822-0864. He has always been efficient, timely and has gone above and beyond for my Buyers. He is also very knowledgeable with Hudson county especially Hoboken. Best of luck with your new home!

this reply is late but for anyone stumbling onto this do NOT use John Losquadro! He is awful or perhaps looking out for only the real estate office. I used him for a home I purchased in Jersey City and he missed obvious things. Melted caps on the water heater due to a backed up chimney which caused a deadly situation of carbon monoxide was not being properly ventilated. Dryer not working due to pounds of lent stuck inside the vent. Black mold visible though sheetrock due to leaks in water pipes and poor caulking in bathroom tiles. He even said the roof was in great shape. It leaked after the first rain and needs to be totally replaced.

Hazelgray,

You want to work with companies that are thorough and professional. Both of the below companies will give you the confidence to close and move in.

I have recommended two Home Inspectors over the years. Mike Bugge of Record Home Inspections @ 201-657-9885. And George White of Home Diagnostic Inspections @ 973-233-0777.

Good luck!!!
