Hi Jeannette
I have lived in Tucson for over 40 years.
I believe that if you invested in duplexes you would be much better than trying to just buy 1 or 2 homes.
For several reasons:
1. You would only have 1 property tax to worry about
2. You have 1 building and 3 -4 rentals
3. You would only have to travel to one home for their house payment
4. Think about your time being very important to you and do you want to be sitting in traffic going from home to home and from one side of Tucson to the other side of Tucson, if you have to make repairs on the home?
5. You will have one yard to take care of
The list can go on and on.
So in my opion buying a duplex would be alot easier

In my opion there are several areas in Tucson that would have duplexes to choose from.
But if you would like to look at single family homes also, I would be more than happy to bring you
up to my office and we can start from there.

Good Luck
Please call me if I can be of help.

This is for Mark:
How are you going to help from Florida a person in Tuscon? Are you multi licensed or are you just auto tuned to this type of question?

I believe that the area around the U of A would provide the best balance asked for in your question.
