I like a property in the Syosset/Woodbury area but the listing says "taxes are being grieved". What does that mean ?

It means that the owner is in the process of trying to get taxes lowered....check with the local tax assessor's office for any necessary information....

Hello ck,
What that means is that they are trying to lower the property taxes with the town, that is something that you can do yourself or there's lots of companys that do it for you and only charge you a fee if they win the case for you. If the listing said the taxes are being grieved it can also means that by the time the house sells the taxes can be lower than what it shows.
