If you stayed in the same field (nursing) and moved there is sometimes no wait at all, your first step should be to meet with a local and trusted mortgage broker, they can prequailify you at no cost, they will look at your credit plus your financials and let you know if there are any mortgages that you may quailify for.

Basha,
Yes, meet with a lender and discuss your situation. If you have 14 months on your current job and any previous nursing experience elsewhere, you may be approved. It will depend on so many other factors such as credit history, income, assets and verification of your employment, that without applying no one can say for certain.
