I have excellent credit and savings of 70K. My income is low say 20K. Will I be able to qualify for a loan of 180K?

Consult with a qualified lender in your area and find out that way. A lender will be able to rightfully determine wether or not you will qualify for a loan. And if so, how much you will qualify for.

I agree with Anne. There are so many dynamics and qualifications for a loan, that a mortgage broker would be best to consult with first. I wish you all the best and home you have a wonderful home purchasing experience.

Why not visit with any qualified loan officer(s), and see if you qualify for a mortgage and how much--then go from there--he/she will be your best source of information as it relates to you, based on your overall financials.
