You will find a big obstacle. You will likely be best served by an independent mortgage broker than any large institutional bank. You will need a direct lender. Was this answer helpful? If so please click on the "green thumbs up" or the "best answer".

Be aware that many timeshare resorts will not let you know that they sold your debt to a collection agency, but that doesn’t mean that your credit report will not be affected.

Hi Stasevich,

Why not get an attorney to negotiate this account for you and get rid of it once and for all? It's worth whatever you pay to the attorney fo be able to move on with your life.

GOOD LUCK.

Thanks. Can you share his email?

Well that will be one great big negative that will jump out on the credit report. It certainly won't help the underwriter when they go to make a decision to approve the loan.

is FHA loan an option? Will this late account stop/make it impossible for me from getting mortgage or will just make it harder? Thanks
