I don't like paying someone to tell me if I can plant a flower garden etc.

Asked by Janet Tipton, Deltona, FL Tue Sep 4, 2012

We thought when we found the home we were purchasing a house in a sub division, it turns out to be a condo with association fees and regulations. We were never giving anything to sign about condo fees or regulations from our realtor or from seller to agree. Can we back out of the contract.

The title company would be the one to talk to. At closing, you'll have to sign the HOA documents.

Also, if you used a mortgage company, they would've had to approve of the HOA funds.

It's not likely that this just "slipped by."

PS. I'm sure your garden would be outstanding!
