I countered a Freddic Mac counter and havent heard back from them, this was 10 days ago! Is this common?

I agree. Unfortunately sometimes if you haven't heard anything it means they may be working with another offer. No one contacts the nonaccepted offer.it is the job of your agent or you if you have no agent to follow up. I have never had them take that long but anything goes with reo properties. Keep following up.

I've have Fannie and Freddie take two months to respond to an offer so unfortunately yes, it does happen.

Ask your agent to follow up with the listing agent. As already stated, they are probably negotiating on another offer.
