I am interested in placing a bid on a short sale property. There are tenants living in the home right now....

The tenants lease expires in February. When I saw the house, the tenant was home and she made a comment that her lease was for one year, and that she is entitled to stay in the house for one year. If I purchase the house, the problem is between the seller and the tenant, correct?

So I cannot force the tenant to leave, as I am the new owner? What happens to the security deposit? Also, she has a lot of furniture in the home. When I get it inspected, how is the inspector going to do his job with all of her possessions in the way?

Nope, If the contract was filed with clerk of court, the contract is with tenant and new property owner
