It is covered in the association fee, content insurance is an additional cost if needed.

The premium for flood insurance can vary on a number of factors including but not limited to: proximity to major water, age of property, flood zone etc.

You best resource for accurate information would be to consult a local insurance agent.

HOA's generally cover a majority of the expences with operating a condo. They differ with each development depending upon what ammenities are in the condo. Saying that you still need insurance on the condo contents as well as replacement value on the interior furnishings. It would be very bad if there was an interior condo fire and you have to rebuild without insurance.
