Friscoplayrsf,

Flood insurance has become a hot topic due to the Biggert-Waters Flood Reform Act, which has recently ended the flood insurance subsidies that many homeowners in high risk areas enjoyed. When they've sold, the buyers of the same homes are finding out that the flood insurance, now adjusted to the true risk, is unaffordable.

If you're a homeowner and have an insurance policy on your existing home, call your agent and run any addresses by him/her. They may be able to give you a better idea of the flood premium. If you don't have such a contact, get in touch and I'll find someone who can help.

Have your insurance company figure it out. The Flood map zone can be seen on the online FEMA flood map as well...
