Any local agent can help you, you don't necessarily need the listing agent, and keep in mind he/she works for the seller--consider having an agent of your own to look out for your best interest--contact any realty office(s) and inquire about the property or contact any Trulia contributor(s) directly and ask--then go from there.

How do you know the property is being auctioned? If its on Trulia does it say for sale or is it listed with a Realty Trac. Try to go to to find the owner and or bank.

Work with a Buyer's Agent and let them do the work for you. Are you familiar with land records, deeds, leins, hoem inspections, Title V, Purchase & Sales Agreements, Bank foreclosure Process and Addendums (in the banks favor)? All of these issues come up on the foreclosre and auctioned property.

Consult a Realtor and let them do the work for you. Buyer's Agents represnt the buyer at No Charge to you.

You'd need to identify the current owner, agent, management company, attorney handling the property and find out if they're interested in your offer. You'll want to make sure you're in the strongest position to present your strongest offer. A local buyers agent experienced in dealing with these type properties can probably best advise & assist you.

Hope that helps
