How long does it take to hear back from under writer it has been almost 3 weeks and no word.?

Because we found a townhome and dont want to loose or get are hopes. We are getting a little upset

Do you have an accepted purchase agreement and a set closing date? The whole loan process can take anywhere from 30-45 days.

If you're waiting on a pre-approval letter so you can make an offer, that can be done in minutes.

Let me know if you want further clarification on this or other lender referrals.

Not sure exactly what you are waiting to hear back from the underwriter about but if it is to be fully pre-approved, that shouldn't take 3 weeks unless you have a very difficult file... i.e. many things that need to be explained and paperwork to review.

There are many loan officers out there... maybe to you should talk to someone else to see if they are more responsive.
