How long do I have to be working a job before I apply for a mortage?

I want to buy a house but I only been working at my job for 7 months. It is possible I can get approve for a mortage?

Most lenders want 2 years of employment history.... but there are exceptions. Were you in college or at another job in the same industry before this one?

Currently I am in college but I am not working in my feild. I am Nursing Asssitant. I have Associate in Business working on Bachelors in business. Are their any possiblites that I can buy a house after working for (1) year while being a college graduate?
