How long after financing a condo or house would you have to wait before renting it out?

Asked by Tammie Cline, Winter Park, FL Wed Nov 2, 2011

I would like to purchase either a condo or house, not sure which one yet, in the winter park area. I just don't know if I will be in this area for many years. If I had to move in a year after purchasing, will certain loans restrict me from renting it out that soon?

You want to check the Bi laws before buying the condo-town home first to see if it is possible.. Some do not let you or they only let you do it a certain amount of days a year..

depends on the by-laws. Check them carefully before buying, to avoid surprises later on. some have no restrictions on renting, and others have very strict guidelines. When looking for property, let your Realtor know exactly what your criteria is and take it from there.
Good Luck!
