Hi, I see you're moving from Orlando which has a strong service industry. We do have "blue collar" and "service industry" jobs but, I think you'll find it to be a little different than Orlando. It would be best to do as Ernie suggested and check out what's available for your skillset and experience.

HOA fees can be listed in different ways. If you're looking at a townhome, HOA fees are probably going to be in the $100 - $200 per month range. It can vary and it is best to ask your Realtor what they are.

As for the property taxes, we can't see exactly what you're looking at so it is difficult to say if the taxes are correct or not. However, they are a matter of public record and can be looked up on each property. Your Realtor can also help you determine what they are. Taxes are based on whether you're in the city limits or not and which city you're in.

It seems to me property taxes and insurance (homeowners & auto) are generally lower in NC than in FL.

Good morning.... to answer your questions, blue collar is a pretty broad topic but there should be jobs available here in the area depending upon what skill set you possess. If you Google..."jobs in Raleigh" or "jobs in Wake County" , that should give you a start. When I was looking at potential jobs, I found the INDEED.COM site to be one of the better job search sites. You could also try Durham County, Orange County, Granville County, Franklin County or basically any county surrounding the Raleigh area. Both Wake County and State of North Carolina also have their own job search sites. Good luck!!!

HOA fees are typically monthly although some are annual oeven quarterly depending upon the community. Most of the time this is posted alongside the dollar amount but if you are not sure, you can always send me the address of the property you are looking at and if listed on the MLS, I can research that for you.

Property taxes SHOULD be accurate on Trulia however if you wish to verify, the actual property tax bills ARE available for public view for every property in Wake County by going to: Most of the other counties also have their own sites, but I really haven't found a site as friendly as Wake County.

If you require any additional assistance, please feel free to contact me personally. You will find all my information on my website at plus links to just about any important service/need you will have... including an IDX link to our local MLS for home searches plus what I just gave you here.

Best wishes with your potential upcoming move!! The Raleigh area is a great place to live.
