A home inspector needs to be licensed by Maryland DLLR and carry general liability insurance. Maryland Standard of Practice excludes well and septic system portions of the "home inspection". Make sure your inspector will inspect or at least test the drinking water. There are well and septic contractors that will perform a free evaluation of an existing system in hopes of getting a fee for repairs and/or replacements. I'm (Barnes Inspection Services) up here in the Baltimore area, but I image that quite few local insectors. Ask potential inspector home inspector for license number, qualifications and experience before even discussinf fee.

Visit our site http://www.reoprep.com and look up home inspectors in your zip code. We have quality approved vendors. When you fid an REO Prep "Approved" vendor that means they meet specific criteria to work with high volume agents, asset managers etc.

Hello, I highly recommend Sam Smargissi at 203K Consultants. We've used him before with great results on new homes construction. http://www.linkedin.com/pub/sam-smargissi/6/253/b66
