How can I found out the homeowner association rules for Hearthstone development in Doylestown?

Asked by Dawn, 18901 Thu Apr 16, 2009

I am interested in a few homes currently available in Hearthstone and know there is an association which cares for the ponds and such but am wondering if there is also a list of homeowner rules for the community, specifically ones which would govern the parking of commercial vehicles in driveways as I have noticed this happening near a property I am interested in. My concerns over issues like that are making me reconsider purchasing in Hearthstone.

The Home Owners Association would be Continental Management. The By-laws will have the information you are looking for. Perhaps you can speak to someone in the office there and they can better serve you. There is someone in charge of that neighborhood. Good Luck and if I can help in anyway feel free to contact me

Hi Dawn,
I actually list and sell the most of the homes in Hearthstone. I am also on the board. Nancy at Continental Management should be able to give you a specific answer to your question. Her number is 215-343-1550. The HOA to my knowledge, does not dictate the rules for the parking of commercial vehicles. However, I know that Buckingham Township has specific rules and I would suggest that you contact some there or stop in to the township building. I can get you the answers to most if not all of your HOA questions but I do not think that we have a rule for commercial vehicles. But.....I will find out.

Best Regards,

There are quite a few places in which the HOA says you may not park your vehicle if it has commercial markings on them. A way to get around this is to have the vehicle allowed if the vehicle is garaged or covered. Also, you could also use magnets. Park the car, remove the magnets.

I could research all of the area HOAs for you if you wish. This way you can know which HOAs do this and which do not. If you have other concerns, please send me an email of any further questions.

Sometimes individual owners will have the rules and regulations for the development from when they purchased the property, however these can change from time to time. When you put in an offer on a property in a HOA the seller is required to order the rules and regulations for the buyer within 15 days of accepting an offer. After you receive them you will have 5 days to review these docs and if there is anything that you dont like about it you can back out of the deal and have your deposit monies returned. You may be able to also find out who the property management company is and get these rules and regs from them directly, though it could be an out of pocket expense to you.

Hope that helps.
